THE HOUSE THAT JACKIE BUILT (One Hour Dramedy Pilot): A Malibu socialite's husband commits suicide leaving her broke.  In danger of losing the house she built, she and her friends operate a male escort business and attempt to unravel the mystery of her husband's death.

MAD MEN “Paper Dreams” (Spec): Don and the boys, Betty and Joan explore their identity and “paper dreams.” Don markets paper dresses for Scott Paper and reads “The Feminine Mystique” to help him understand modern women. Betty explores her burgeoning sexuality with a new neighbor. Salvatore is exposed to emancipated gay men and Joan stands up to her abusive husband.

 
FEATURES

HOLLYWOOD HIT (Comedy): Two struggling actors are mistaken for mob hitmen and sent to murder a big Hollywood producer. But the producer mistakes the “hitmen” as actors and casts them as leads in his new film.  For the actors it’s a chance to make their dreams come true, but first they have to outwit the Mafia, the FBI and a crazed Russian bookie.  Hired to write this script by Miracle Mile Entertainment.

DEAD WRONG (Suspense/Black Comedy): An abusive husband hires a low-life criminal to kill his cheating wife.  The wife hires her lover to kill the abusive husband.  But the low-life criminal kills the wrong woman, setting everyone against each other and proving that evil intentions never go according to plan. This script won an award in the 2008 WIF/MORE screenplay contest.

TROPHY HUSBAND (Romantic Comedy): A down and out young stable boy is inspired by his trophy wife friends to find and marry a rich, older woman.  He and his best buddy work the older babe market and find a suitable catch, but the stable boy learns the hard way that when you marry for money you must work for every penny.

DOPPELGANGER 000 (Broad Comedy): A septic tank salesman from Dubuque is mistaken for his doppelganger (or double), who’s a suave, French spy.  The salesman is swept up in a secret spy mission to defeat a wacky Prophet, who’s poised to overtake the U.S. A love triangle also ensues as the salesman must win back his fiancé from the spy.

JONNY WAS (Sci-Fi): A twelve year-old boy realizes he’s an experiment for aliens who’ve invaded and conquered Earth.  He is whisked back to their planet where he is raised as the son of the ruling alien royal family.  Eight years later he realizes the errors of his ways and must enlist the aid of his parents and other captured humans to defeat the aliens and re-claim Earth. This script is currently being turned into a graphic novel.

TROUBLE (Romantic Comedy/Road Movie): A down and out young man steals a rare ruby and kidnaps a young woman, but she turns the tables on him and embroils him in nothing but trouble.

Heavily involved in the development and re-writing of screenplays.  Developed relationships with studio execs, outside producers, agents, managers and talent.  Assisted on location in Australia on set of major feature production.

Assisted producer of television MOWs.  Researched stories, developed scripts and organized busy production schedule.

Writer/Producer: Chelsea Players, New York, NY  1991-1994
Founded independent theater company.  Wrote and produced three Off-off Broadway plays, recouping production costs and playing to sold-out audiences.

Interviewed Russian citizens with camera crew, researched historic and current news events, edited video material and translated Russian news programs.

Assistant Director: Nikitsky Vorot Theater, Moscow, Russia  1990-1991                                                                                
Assisted two internationally renowned directors while traveling to the outer reaches of the former Soviet Union.  Acted as translator and liaison between foreign directors and Russian actors, supervised all technical personnel and personally rehearsed cast of eight.

BIO:

Before coming to Los Angeles Lynn was a playwright in New York City. She founded the independent theater company, The Chelsea Players, and produced many successful Off-off Broadway plays, including Restaurant A, Magic Soup, Platform 8, The Game and The Case of the Stolen Identity.  After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with an MA in Russian Studies she traveled to Russia where she worked as an assistant director at the Nikitsky Vorot Theater. She spent six months working in Moscow and five months traveling across the former Soviet Union, including to closed cities. She wrote a non-fiction account of that year entitled Adventure in the Soviet Union.  Other works include an anthology of poetry and numerous manuscripts for children’s book.  Her love for writing and the arts in general was first fostered at her time spent at Choate Rosemary Hall.
